This Cinema has never been anything else but a cinema and though it has been restored and now boasts Dolby Surround Sound, it still retains a lot of its original atmosphere.
It can show DVD’s and also hosts a thriving Jazz Club. It is staffed almost entirely by volunteers, and as well as showing films at the weekends is available for hire
The projection room is interesting as it is reached by an outside ladder, and the 35mm films are hoisted up by a small crane!
